Reinforcement Mesh

Knitted wire reinforcement mesh is commonly incorporated into truck side curtains and tarpaulin systems to reduce the risk of unauthorised access. The mesh helps resist cutting attempts, making it more difficult for thieves to gain entry while allowing the curtain system to retain normal flexibility.

Similar technology is used in public transport seating and interior panels to improve resistance to vandalism.

Reinforcement mesh can be installed within removable insulation jackets or external protective covers. When fitted internally, the mesh protects insulation materials from wear and tearing. When positioned externally, it provides additional protection against mechanical damage and harsh operating conditions.

Knitted wire reinforcement mesh can be combined with materials such as aramid fibres (e.g. Kevlar) and other technical textiles to produce lightweight protective fabrics offering improved cut and puncture resistance while remaining flexible and wearable.
