Terms & Conditions of Sale

Quality and Defects


Every effort is made to ensure the use of sound materials and workmanship. Any goods proven to be defective in material or workmanship will, at the discretion of Knitwire Trading (PTY) Ltd, be repaired or replaced where reasonably practicable, subject to the conditions of the original contract.

Material Substitution


Knitwire Trading (PTY) Ltd reserves the right to offer materials of equal or higher grade where practicable and suitable for the application.

Manufacturing Tolerances


Knitwire Trading (PTY) Ltd reserves the right to use wire diameters within one wire gauge and/or normal drawing tolerances.

Delivery


Delivery dates are estimates only and are subject to events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to machinery breakdown, labour disputes, fire, flood, strikes, war, or acts of God. Delays caused by such events shall not give rise to cancellation or claims for damages.
Where possible, customers will be informed of any significant delays.

Health and Safety


In accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act 85 of 1993, information regarding any precautions to be observed when handling our products is available on request.

Order Cancellation


Orders may not be cancelled without the prior written consent of Knitwire Trading (PTY) Ltd.

Retention of Ownership


Ownership of all goods shall remain with Knitwire Trading (PTY) Ltd until payment has been received in full.

Pricing


Unless otherwise stated in writing, all orders will be accepted at the price ruling on the date of dispatch.

Payment Terms


Payment terms are strictly 30 days from date of invoice unless otherwise agreed in writing by Knitwire Trading (PTY) Ltd.

Purchaser Terms


Orders are accepted only on these Terms and Conditions. Any purchaser terms that conflict with or vary these conditions shall not apply unless expressly accepted in writing by Knitwire Trading (PTY) Ltd.
Recorded Communications
Telephone calls may be recorded for training, quality control, and monitoring purposes.

Returns and Non-Conforming Goods


Any parts that do not conform to the customer’s order, drawing, or specification must be reported in writing within 14 days of receipt of goods.
Goods must be returned in original packaging within 28 days, subject to approval by Knitwire Trading (PTY) Ltd.

Limitation of Liability


Knitwire Trading (PTY) Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, special, or consequential loss arising from the supply or use of goods.

Governing Law


These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa.

Negotiation of Terms


These Terms and Conditions may be negotiated prior to placement of an order or prior to contract. Once an order is placed, these Terms and Conditions shall apply.
